Overview of Salvation History

Overviewof Salvation History

Pleasejoin Mr. Fierro to learn more about salvation history this summer!  Beginning with the book of Genesis we willcover the overall narrative of the biblical salvation history in the Old Testament. In other words, we will study the history of the people of God from thecreation as God leads them toward redemption.

We will go through the books of Genesis, Exodus, Numbers,Joshua, Judges, I and II Samuel, I and II Kings.

We will study how the events described in these books areconnected to one another (and some helpful non-biblical background informationthat can help explain and clarify the text). We will also take care to examineexamples of Old Testament typology (how events, persons, and statements in theOld Testament prefigured or are superseded by Christ and his revelation).

Wewill use these books because they form a coherent narrative that makes studyingthe other books of the bible easier. Many of the other books of the bibleassume a familiarity with the persons, ideas, and events found in these 9books.

There is no formal sign-up process, if you’re interested andhave any further questions please do not hesitate to ask!  We will meet in Angel’s Hall – Tuesdays at6:00pm starting May 28th and will run through August 27th.

Religious Education starts Tuesday, September 3rd 6:30 p.m.

Our religious education program is here to help your child learn about Christ and His Church. While we help prepare for the sacraments of initiation, we are also here to help your child come to know Christ better throughout their school years.
If your child needs to receive a sacrament (First Communion or Confirmation*), the sacramental preparation requires two consecutive years. Please remember, this is not just for Sacraments! We are here to help you teach your children the love of Christ throughout their development!

While we do charge tuition to help run our program, we will never turn a family away for financial reasons. We are here to serve you and the mission of the Church.

*If your child is in need of the Sacrament of Confirmation special discussion will be required for eligibility and because we only have celebrate this sacrament in odd years (the next Confirmation class for newly enrolled students will be 2027)

If you need more information, please contact Michael Fierro.

The registration form can be found here.

Tuition can be paid online here.
